DJ Biography
Matt started playing records 5 years ago as a keen bedroom DJ, influenced by the likes of Paul Van Dyk, Judge Jules and Pete Tong. Initially playing trance, he honed his mixing skills, before discovering the world of hard dance.
DJ opportunities had been hard to find, living in a small town, so moving to Sheffield in 2003 to attend university was a big step in Matts DJ career. Having previously only played in competitions and at parties, he was soon playing at the students union, and at a few nights around the city. It was then that he attained a slot on "Rush" Radio, Sheffield Hallams radio station, which was broadcast FM across Yorkshire and all over the world via the internet.
Since then, Matts track selection, excellent quality of mixing and infectious energy behind the decks have made him a brilliant choice for several promoters. He is easily able to play a progressive build-up or a crazy high energy peak time set!!
Whilst juggling a busy university course and part-time DJ career, Matt has also found time to toy with the production aspect of hard-dance, and is currently working on several projects, with possible collaborations in the pipeline.
